Cookies
Like most websites, BeautifullyBookish.com uses cookies to help identify your computer and so enhance your user experience. Cookies are tiny text files that are stored on your web browser.
Cookies enable Beautifully Bookish to:
- Remember what is in your shopping basket
- Remember where you are in the order process
- If you have an account, that you are logged-in and that your session is secure.
- Track the pages you visit (anonymously) via Google Analytics
Here is a list of cookies used, and a description of what they do:
_session_id: Unique token, sessional. This allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_secure_session_id: Unique token, sessional. As above, but with a password gateway.
_shopify_visit: No data held, persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit. This is used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.
_shopify_uniq: No data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day. This counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
_cart: Unique token, persistent for 2 weeks. This stores information about the contents of your cart, so it will still be there the next time you visit.
_storefront_digest: Unique token, indefinite. If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.
